National Park Krka
One of everyone’s favorite daytrip. Experience extraordinary beauty of nature brought by many waterfalls, streams and relaxing flora and fauna of River Krka. Krka National Park lies within Šibenik-Knin County, and covers a total area of 109 km² of the loveliest sections of the Krka River, and the lower course of the Čikola River. The purpose of the park is primarily to serve science, culture, education and recreation, while tourism activities have also been introduced for its visitors. From Vodice you have daily boat excurisons.
Šibenik
Explore old city and visit the Catedral of Saint Jakov, the most important architectural monument of the Renaissance in the entire country. Since 2000, the cathedral has been on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Historic Fortresses in Šibenik are; St. Nicholas fortress (landmark fort from 16.st, accessible only by boat), St. Michael's Fortress (medieval fort accessible on foot from the old city, often hosts exhibits and events), Barone fortress (historic hilltop-fort with beautiful panoramic views, accessible on foot or with car).
Tribunj
This small but charming peninsula, is a fishermen city. Can be reached by a short car ride or a beautiful and romantic coastal walk from Vodice. Experience a simple and slow life of residents and have some great food with a stunning views of a nearby islands. Tribunj is still known today for fishing and olive cultivation, the two main branches of business that fed the local inhabitants. Tribunj, with its union of tradition and modern standards, definitely offers you unforgettable holiday and memory that will last.
Okit hill
Visit a beautiful hill at the entrance of Vodice city. Take a short hike following the 14 stations of the cross with the stunning church on top and be awarded with the striking panoramic view of Vodice with its surroundings, sea and the archipelago. On this elevation the first church was erected in the 17th century and later it was extended for several times as it got destroyed in the World War II and again in the Croatian War of Independence.
Island Prvić
Island Prvić take a boat ride or a kayak to the first („prvi“) island in front of Vodice. Enjoy the calmness and quite as there are no cars on the island. Take a scenic walk from Šepurine to Prvić luka or visit the museum Faust Vrančić, inventor of parachute.
